I went out to straighten some of our disgusting garage out this last Saturday, while Tony was gone snowboarding, and ended up with Daxton out there with me. He loves to do anything outdoors, and apparently the garage counts as outdoors to him, because he couldn't get out the door fast enough. The funniest part was that he went straight for these two golf clubs of Tony's that were leaning in the corner. He carried them around and around the garage practically the whole time we were out there. All Tony could say about the pictures when he got home was, "That's my boy"!

Mr. Charity
My husband is killing me right now with all of his "giving"! Before I even start, I know that I sound like a total brat, but come on! Once you hear about his week, hopefully I won't sound so bad! So, on Tuesday or Wednesday, days are all running together so I don't remember which day, there was a knock on our door and it was one of Tony's young men. He comes in a Tony goes to his wallet and gives him some money and the kid leaves. I asked him what that was all about and he says he just needed some help, he will pay me back! Next the door bell rings a couple of days later and it is another guy in our ward, that he proceeds to give our PlayStation 2 to, because his broke and he can't watch DVD's without something! I ask Tony why he doesn't just buy the guy a cheap DVD player instead, so that Troy can still play his video games if he wants to. Well guess what, we go to Target and he does exactly that! He buys the guy a DVD player, and gets our PlayStation back! But, to top it all off, we are driving down St. George Blvd, and he starts swerving off the road, I ask what the heck he is doing and he says there was a dog back there that was going to go into the road. He goes back, and there is already another couple stopped by the side of the road keeping the dog out of the road! Instead of just driving off since somebody else was already taking care of the situation, he has to roll down his window and ask if the dog has any tags! The people were from out of town, so they ask Tony if he can take the dog to a Vet or something to find out if the dog has a microchip so that they can find out who the owner is! Where exactly are you going to find a Vet at 8:30 PM on a Friday night?!!So what does Tony do?!!! He loads the dog in the back of our Suburban and starts driving up and down the streets around where we are trying to look for somebody that might be looking for their lost dog. When he finds nobody out, he then goes a knocks on a couple doors seeing of anybody might know the dog! By this time about a half an hour has past, and I am just telling him PLEASE just go up the street a little and let the dog out away from the road! He can find his own way home! It tooks some convincing, but he finally agreed to let the dog out aways up the road! I really thought I was going to get stuck with another dog at my house for the night! The only thing that saved me was that Tony was going snowboarding today and he KNEW that I wasn't going to take the dog and all the kids and go find somebody to take the dog! Seriously, he kills me! I didn't even see that dang dog on the side of the road, and he thinks he needs to go find the dogs owner?!!!! I know I should be grateful for his charity, and most of the time I am! But the dog incident almost threw me over the edge! He is a good guy and I love him for his compassion! I sometimes wish he would just run the thoughts that are going around in his head by me first before he acts on them!! That is all I ask, is that too much?!!!

Invisibelt
www.invisbelt.com
I really want one of these, and I think it is an ingenious idea! But I am sooo bugged by their shipping policy! They charge over $10 to ship one belt, but of you order 2 or 3 belts it is the same shipping charges! So ladies, if any of you are interested, let me know, and we can order them together! Check out their website and see what you guys think!

My kids are lucky that HE wasn't born first!

I am not sure how I could have ever thought about having more kids if this little monster was born first! I found him tonight with the tip of a marker, thank goodness it was Crayola non-toxic, hanging out of his mouth in the playroom! If he isn't doing something like this picture shows, he is either in the toilets, throwing remotes in the bath tub, pulling all the toilet paper off the rolls, eating things off the floor, or in general, GETTING INTO SOMETHING HE SHOULDN'T BE! I even found him today finding a little crumb of something right up against the baseboard, that he was trying to pick up and put in his mouth. So apparently tomorrow, I get to vacuum all the rooms right against the baseboards so that my son doesn't eat something he shouldn't! I love this kid to pieces, and it really is hard to not laugh at how out of control he is! But really, I am glad this is the finale in our family because I couldn't take another one after him! He is the icing, the cherry, and the whip cream on top of our cake!

I don't really have anything fun and exciting to say but....
I will ramble anyways! Life seems to be zooming by! I can't believe my baby is almost 1! I look at the pictures of when he was first born and I can't even believe that was him! That "Donald Trump" hair, and it was so dark, he really did look like he had another race in him! And then you cut it all off and he is blonde just like Karlin! I am so floored by the fact that all of our kids are getting older! Thinking that Troy is old enough to drive and date in just 3 short weeks, makes me wonder where time has gone, and how I have missed so many moments in their lives! I am always in such a hurry! But one day I am going to wake up and it is not only going to be Troy and Kaylee that are all grown, it is going to be Kenzie, Karlin, Kamren, and Daxton! And I am going to wonder how I got here! I am sure Tony will be out golfing and I will still be sitting at this computer, checking out all of my friends blogs! Ha Ha! I am really going to try hard to start paying more attention to things that really matter, because both my kids and I, are not getting any younger! Kamren wanted me to lay with her the other night, and at first I said "No", like I usually do, but then I had this thought that in the near future she isn't going to want me to lay down with her and snuggle. So, for just those 10 minutes I laid next to her trying to imagine what she would become. I am not sure where she is going to be 10 or 20 years down the road, but I need to be there for her NOW, so that is some small way, I can influence the person she is going to become. I need to spend more time with all of them individually! Life is short, and seems to zoom by in an instant! Sorry that you all get to read my ramblings, but it is good sometimes to get our thought on paper, or in this case on a blog! What would I do without my blog?!!!!

My Goals for 2008!
I figure if I write these things down instead of just think about them in my head, maybe, just maybe, this will be the year that I actuallly keep even ONE of my new years resolutions. So, here goes:
I want to be more in shape! I have a little over 5 pounds to lose before I am at my goal weight, but I want to be able to be in shape too.
With that, I want to at least run one 5K this year. I should aim higher, but I am a little leary of running in races. When I was in Junior High and High School I ran track and I always hated the feeling in my stomache that I got every race. It was kind of a "I need to go to the bathroom, I think I am going to barf" kind of a feeling, and I am not so good with anxiety. But we will see.
I want to finish both the Book of Mormon and the D&C, which I am half way through both of them right now, but I think I started them over a year ago. This is the year I will finish both of them.
I want to not have such a spending problem. I know that my spending habits are completley brought on by my many moods! If I am onery, spending makes me feel better. Bored? Spending again, cures that. Feeling ugly, frumpy or run down? Spending again! Do you see a pattern? I need to fix this! I am a big time closet spender and I need to be stopped!
I want to not say the word "like" anymore in a sentence! It drives me nuts when I hear myself speak and I sound just like a teenager! So I am going to try and not use that word as frequently when I speak! I will need some help with this one! Just pinch me if you hear me use it, Please!
I need to find a hobby that both Tony and I can do together! I like to blog and scrapbook. He likes to play settlers online and watch TV and golf, but there are very few things that we really like to do together and I a scared of what we are going to be doing when we are not raising the kids together every single second of the day. When they grow up, we are going to be boring people who know nothing about each other. So, I need to fix that or at least make an attempt to like the things he likes!
I want to be a better mother! My kids deserve for me to pay closer attention to them and not always be calling at them for them to let me fix their hair or for them to clean up! They are kids and I need to let them play and be kids! I want them to grow up and think of me as "fun" so I need to change some of the ways I deal and interact with them.
Okay, I am done rambling for now! I want to know some of your goals too! Maybe I need to adopt some of your ideas also!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

We had a great time last night at Jill and Brian's house playing Settlers and a new Pirates dice game that Val had! We actually made it to midnight, a first in about 4 years for both of us! The funniest part about the whole night was that the "older but wiser" crowd were having a great old time and us "younger" kids were about passed out on the couch by about 10:30! All of us except Tony! You give him a group of people who want to play games, and he will play until he is the last man standing! The kids also, had a great time with their friends!
