Cabo Cruise

Tony and I, were lucky enough to get to go on a cruise to Cabo for 5 days. I really didn't believe that it was going to happen until a few days before, so when I got the confirmation email from the travel agent, I was excited! Tony was so great and had already called my mom to come and watch the kids and of course, my grandma came along too! I think this is the first vacation he actually planned in our whole marriage. It was kind of nice! We left on a Sunday, flew to San Diego to board the ship, and then were off!

We ended up on this cruise in kind of a weird way. Tony had an advertiser that ended up not being able to take the cruise when a family wedding came up. So we ended up going in their place. On our first night, we met a couple that we ended up hanging with most of the cruise. Lucky for them, we are BOTH over packers, because they had no luggage for the WHOLE cruise! Their luggage never made it on the ship, but they still got on with only their carry on luggage. Which wasn't much! When we first met, we made some small talk, never really thinking much of it. I told her she could borrow some of my stuff, she looked at me like "yeah right!" What none of us knew, was that we would end up spending every night at the same table in the main dining room! They also really did end up borrowing pretty much every thing but our underwear! Thank goodness they were both close to our sizes! It was so fun to have somebody to hang out with! Especially since Tony and I don't travel too well alone! We are so different in how we like to vacation that it was nice to have them!

I wasn't too excited to step out of our cabin and see this off our balcony, the morning that we were to dock in Cabo. This picture isn't close enough to be able to tell that there were 6 police men armed with machine guns on this boat! I will say though, this was our first cabin with an balcony and an ocean view and I will never be going back to the bottom and the dark room again! Being on the 8th deck was great!

We, of course, can't go anywhere without our Dixie Direct! Nobody gave him 2 for 1, but he tried!
We decided one night, to splurge and spend some extra money and go to the nice restaurant. Though tony loved his food, we were way out of our league! When they brought out a tiny little plate with beef tar tar and a french onion soup that looked like it had a baby spoon to eat with, we were both laughing hard! The funniest thing to watch was them keep coming over and replacing Tony's utensils because he kept using the wrong one! It was a funny night!

Oh my husband and his performing! I was hiding in the back as he was up there with the band singing all his favorites! He did some Ice, Ice Baby and This is How we Do it! I don't know how he can still move like that, but he does! He even got a Superstar award to prove it!

We went on a whale watching tour in Cabo when we finally got off the boat. We were both excited for this one! We were on a little catamaran for about 3 hours and we loved it! I cannot believe how massive these whales were. The were grey whales and humpback whales that were upwards of 55 feet. I was very proud of my Whale tale picture! It even made it into the Spectrum Newspaper, thanks to us having employees from The Spectum on board with us!
We were lucky enough to get to make some new friends on the trip that made our last day in Cabo a lot of fun! Especially since one of them spoke Spanish thanks to a mission! They are from South Ogden, and though we all now know that our meeting wasn't just a chance happening, it was so fun to have them along! We went on a taxi boat over to Lovers beach, where Tony, Mindy and Marty went snorkeling. I stayed on the beach and watched all of our stuff, that water was WAY too cold for me!

These two dorks even paid a guy $2 to get their picture taken with these creatures!
This was our table at dinner every night! We had a great time together!
Our awesome waiters! I love that these guys always know you so well and what you like by the end of the cruise! They were so funny and happy! I wish I could be that happy all the time!
All of us as we departed from the airport! Thanks to destiny, we will be seeing a ton of these guys! :)

What an exciting day!!!

Today is my little man's 4th birthday! I can't believe it has been that long since he came into our family! Troy and I started off the morning taking cupcakes to Daxton's preschool, where Miss Lori gave him a GIGANTIC cupcake that took him a few days to eat!!! I totally forgot to put my memory card in my camera, so we had to make a quick trip home before lunch!

Funny sidenote: I had been joking with Troy on the way into town that him getting his mission call today would work so much better for me and my schedule! We guess what?!!!!

IT CAME! I pulled up to the mailbox and was in total awe and shock when it was really in the mailbox! He was a little shocked too! I cried! Called Tony and then it was a matter of when and where we were going to get all of his "families" together to open it!
So, we went on with the day as planned until we could figure it out! We met Tony at Pasta Factory and gave Dax his presents from us. I knew that he would be too crazy at his birthday party to even care about us! He got this Imaginex rocket, and a couple other things. He was so excited!

About 2, I got a call that everybody was coming over in 2o minutes so Troy could stop being tortured! We were all so excited and nervous!
He is going to the California San Bernardino, english speaking, Mission. He reports to the MTC on April 6th! Wow! Do we have A LOT of things to get done in the next 8 weeks! I am so happy and proud of him!

Next, it was on to Daxton's birthday party! He wanted Laser Tag this year, with no girls aloud(besides his sisters)! He was very specific about the no girl thing!

They thought the 4D movie was great!
He even won over 200 tickets on one game! It was his lucky day!

He didn't even want a Thomas cake! I was shocked!

This is his "stop taking pictures of me" face!

All in all, it was a great day for the two boys in our family! This will be a day our family will never forget! I am a proud Mama!
