New Years Eve

We had a fun New Years Eve! No First Night (Yeah!) No Cold ( Double Yeah!) Just Friends and games in our jammies, well most of us were in our jammies!!!

Here's the Wii crew!!

And the dress up crew!!! Thank goodness Daxton had taken his getup off by the time I took this picture!!
These are the only two little ones to fall asleep before midnight!!!
And this was the only adult!!! :)
I am very proud to say that the rest of us made it to midnight! This is the first time I have actually made it in a few years!!! I am so excited to see what the New Year has in store for us!!!

Breakfast with Santa

Thanks to Tony being a sponsor at the Rec Center, and the girls dancing again, we were lucky enough to get to spend the morning with Santa! I can't say I would have been happy had I paid for this event, but it was good to do something fun for the kids at Christmas time that we normally would have never done! They enjoyed themselves, and that is all that matters! Kamren and Kenzie got to dance again, and thanks to their mommy forgetting at their previous recital, Tony came through with flowers for each of the girls when they came off stage! They love that he always comes through! The funniest part of the morning was when we were leaving. The Grinch had been roaming around the whole time, and Daxton would throw something at him, or high 5 him when he would see him! But as we were leaving, he saw him again and actually let him pick him up to get a picture! I was shocked but had my camera ready! The boy wouldn't even SIT on Santas lap!!! Apparently we might have another Grinch lover in the family!!!!

Dance Recital

Kenzie and Kamren had their dance performance for the dance class they are taking at the Rec. Center this past Friday. They did really good! I was really impressed with Kenzie's hip-hop moves(she definitely didn't get her moves from me)! I have at least 2, maybe 3 left feet! They both did a great job! I can't say their performance was as organized at professional as the dance classes we have done in the past, but I will take the 45 minute recital and $30 costumes any day over the other!!! Good Job, girlies!

Sweet little moment

My little Kamren is most definitely my most thoughtful child when it comes to her Mama!!! She came to be yesterday, after working on something for 10 or 15 minutes and handed me this and said, "Merry Christmas"! When I asked what it was, she said she had got me some water with ice, because that is the way I liked it, and tied a bow from her Christmas tree and put a heart from her wall on the cup! So cute!

Cause for concern?!!!!!

I am not sure if this is just a boy thing, or if my son has a few screws loose!!! This is what I found out front a few days ago when it rained!!! We tried to prove to him that he did NOT want to be outside wearing a short sleeve shirt and his "pockets"(shorts) as he calls them. So we told him to go out front and ride his scooter, THINKING that he would come back in and say it was too cold to be dressed like this! But NO, he could care less! I finally had to take all of his shorts and short sleeved shirts and hide them all! Seriously!!!!

Gymnastics

For the last several month, every Wednesday morning, Daxton and I have attended a Mommy and Me gymnastics class. He has absolutely loved it, and I had fun watching him go! He can't just jump on the trampoline, or do the obstacle course, he has to jump off of and be crazy around everything in site! And yet, when the coach tells him it is time to sit down and wait his turn, he is perfectly content watching the other kids. This was his last day of class. He will get to go to the big kid class all by himself as soon as he gets the "potty" thing completely down! He is so excited for that day to come!!!

The last day, they let the kids play in the marshmallows almost the whole time. Since these are Daxton's favorite part of gymnastics he was in Heaven!!

Tink

I know this is a month overdue, but life gets crazy and sometimes I just plain forget about the things I take pictures of, even when they are as beautiful as this little thing! Needless to say, I forgot her wings when we went to take these pictures and we left a little late, so we literally had 15 minutes to snap a few shots- good thing the girl likes to smile! See Mom, I did take pictures of her!!!

I just have to say, that I am so sad for the day when Karlin finally decides to grow up! I could probably live without the crying temper tantrums, but the sweet snuggling I will deeply miss! We were joking with her the other day, that she should be a Massage Therapist when she grows up because she loves to touch skin!!! She has such a sweet spirit, I hope she always remains so sweet!!!

Thanks to the Talent!!!

We are so lucky to have such a talented photography for a friend! Thanks Dion for putting up with a goof ball, 6 crazy kids, and a stressed out Mama! Your the best! You can click on the link on the side of my blog to see more of her work!!!

It is time to get caught up!!!

I was lucky enough to have my husband go for my skeeming when I suggested that he invite the girls along on his planned guy trip!!! Can you believe he went for that?!!! I am still a little in shock! We decided on Monday, booked the trip, and by Friday at 5, we were on the ship-headed to Ensenada, Mexico. Not exactly my favorite destination, but for $280 a person and no kids, I was soooo excited!!

We had lots of fun!!!! The highlights for me:

The food! I gained a couple pounds!!

The company! It is so fun to have fun friends to do things with!

The hypnotist! I will be laughing for years about my husband being hypnotized! Let me give you a little taste! Tony was Chinese, Ricky Martin, really stinky, rode on a roller coster, made some choice jesters telling a cop what he really thinks for all of them, and danced with and attacked a guy singing "That's Amore"!!!! If only I had pictures or a video, but that wasn't aloud so we will just have to go with memories! And believe me, it will be a while before I even stop laughing about this one!!!

Just hanging out! We may have done nothing, or at least got pretty darn close, but we still had fun playing card games, and just hanging out on the deck or in the hot tub!

Getting kicked out while bartering with a Mexican! It may be shocking to hear that I LOVE to barter while in Mexico! My family actually stays away from me because apparently I am a little embarrassing! But bartering is what you do when you are in Mexico, so I take full advantage of it! But one Mexican man was not too excited about my bartering and actually escorted me to the door and said he didn't want to do buisness with me because he "wanted to have a good day"! Needless to say, he STILL ended up selling my husband the wallet that he started at $29 for $10!

A much needed break! Though we really just puttered around the ocean going 3 MPH for a few days, it was a perfect length of time! Not too long to really start missing the kids, but long enough that I felt like I had a break!

The lowlights for me!!!

As you can tell by the above picture, I got sick on a little fishing boat that the boys decided they needed to charter! Not only did I get sick, but I was puking violently over the edge of this lovely fishing vessel! I had not puked since giving birth to my first child 13 YEARS AGO!!! Seriously! I hope I never have to experience this again!! Just looking at this picture just makes my stomach turn! The funniest part about this picture is the lovely couch that I am snuggling into! When we first got on the boat, we all looked at the couch and weren't even willing to sit on the thing! But a short time later, and some sea sick moments, and I was more that happy to be comforted by the nasty old thing!! I think next time the boys want to go fishing in the ocean I will say see you on LAND in a couple hours and run the other way!!! But they were excited that they each caught ONE fish in 2 1/2 hours at sea!!!

The smell of our hall! For some reason there was a horrible rotten onion smell that we would get a whiff of every time we got close to our cabin! At least it helped me know when I was getting close! I was a little bit lost most the time on the ship! Good thing we has 2 walking GPS men with us!

That is our ship in the background!
I think this was a pig?!!! He is just missing a nose hole!!

Random pictures from a random kind of day

Since we were done with soccer by 10:15 yesterday, we decided to round up the troops and head towards Zions for the day. Nothing really planned, just going on a drive. We first stopped at the General Store, to feed the animals, next was Grafton (Tony and the older kids had never been there before), then on to the apple orchard, where we bought some yummy apples. Organic apples really are much better than the ones you get at the grocery store. We finished our day by driving a little further and enjoying the rain that was dumping on Sprindale. It was a fun, uneventful, calm day! I really enjoyed all of the fall colors and the company that was with me!

Kaylee is always willing to be my model!

The Blunicorns season is over!

We are all happy and sad today, that the soccer season is finally at an end. Happy, that we don't have to make practice every Wednesday, or plan our Saturdays around soccer. But sad, that we don't get to watch Tony and Kamren do their thing anymore. Tony was such a great coach to these little girls, he really grew to love each of them. Kamren started out slow, not sure if she even wanted to continue playing, but by mid season she had found her grove. Kamren is quite the little defender! She was always the one kicking the ball out when they would get to close to the goal or defending the goal. Though scoring a goal of her own eluded her for most of the season, she FINALLY scored in the 3rd quarter of her LAST game. I was getting a little nervous that it would never happen! Thank goodness it did. She has been a little disappointed after every game that she had never scored! I hope she wants to play again next year because I have enjoyed watching!

Kamren and one of her new little friends from soccer.
Can you tell he was totally in to coaching?!!!
My favorite picture of the day! This little girl had just scored her first goal ever. She was so excited! The look on her face was priceless and actually made me get a little teary eyed and she isn't even my kid!
Kamren on the way down the field, for what would be her first and only goal of the season!
What a proud daddy he was when she finally scored!

Go Blunicorns!!!
Kamren was soooo proud of her trophy! We went to breakfast after the game and she sat at the table cleaning it with a wipe the whole time. Nobody is aloud to touch it!
