National Cheerleading in RAINY Aneheim, California

For some reason, my computer has been having a hard time uploading my pictures from last weekend! So, I'm sorry Teresa!!! That I haven't posted in a couple weeks, I'm trying, I'm trying!!;)!!! We went to Kaylee's cheerleading competition this last weekend and they did great! They didn't make it to the finals(our wallets are grateful for that!) but, they did do very well. I was very proud of her and got very emotional when she was up there performing. I am such a baby when I see my kids doing anything! It rained the entire weekend, but we made the best out of it. After spending 6 1/2 hours watching cheerleading on Saturday, we headed to Huntington beach where they were having a neat kite show. It was freezing as you can see by the pictures, that our crazy Kenzie didn't seem to mind. She was soaked clear up to her armpits by the time we left there. The girls really enjoyed finding seashells, and I was fine with the whole thing because I had a sweatshirt, a jacket, and a blanket to wrap up in! We also went to this great science center called the Discovery Cube. Our girls loved this place. We actually ended up going there twice, since the weather was a litte cold a wet. They have over 100 science experiments, some neat dinosaur exhibits, and a fun area upstairs all centered around Clifford the big red dog for the littler kids. It was the hit of the weekend!

President's Day in Zions

Thanks Dion, for inviting us to Zion's for the day. Though we didn't really do much hiking, thanks to the snow and ice on the trails, we had a good time. Kenzie built some kind of a creation and Kamren and Daxton liked to play in the grass with the sticks. We are so blessed to live so close to such an amazing creation. The red rocks and the blue sky are an amazing contrast. You KNOW that Heavenly Father loves beautiful things when you see Zions. It is breath taking!

The best kind of cake, is cake on your face!

I think one year old smash cakes tell you a lot about your kids, so I am always excited when it is time for their first birthdays. Some of my kids have been more reserved and lightly touched the frosting, not wanting to get any on themselves. While others, have jumped in face first, I think I even missed getting a shot of Karlin before she had it all over her entire face-she was quick! We really expected Daxton would be that same way. He was trying to grab the cake before we even set in on his tray. He started out by just picking at some of the frosting on the sides. Once he got a little more into the cake, he wasn't to fond of that heavy frosting all over his hands, so he tryed to shake it off. By the end, he was a complete and total mess and he enjoyed every minute of it! I was entertained and so was the rest of my family!

80's Party

We had an 80's Valentine's party at our house on Friday night, and I thought it was a blast! Thank you to all of you who came! Your costumes were amazing! I am just glad I have a Halloween costume now for this year! I somehow didn't get a picture of the whole crew together, so can somebody please e-mail me one? We played a fun game called "Celebrity" and some Rock Band! Joe, I think you know what you need to get Jeanette for Christmas! Thanks for a great and amuzing night!

Happy 1st Birthday, Daxton!

Wow! I really can't believe that a year ago today, our little man came into this world. What a fast year! It probably seems fast because he has pretty much been in turbo speed the entire year! From crawling before he even could sit up, to walking WAY to early, he has been a challenge since the minute he came into this world-we won't even go into him actually coming into this world, that story is enough to explain his entire year!!!!! Until Daxton, I didn't know the meaning of curious! All of our girls pretty much were relaxed babies, they cried a lot-they ARE girls, but he is into anything and everything he can get his little paws on! With Daxton, we learned the meaning of baby proofing, which we NEVER had to do with any of the girls! We find ourselves laughing about things that really aren't funny, but we can't believe some of the stuff he does and gets into. We feel so blessed to have this busy little boy in our home! He will keep us on our toes for lots of years to come, I can already tell that!

Some of his favorite things:

Smoothies-he got that from his Mama!
Golf clubs-you can guess who he got that obsession from!
His sisters-they can make him laugh at anything they do!
His blue blanket
Being outside-you leave a door open, and he is gone!
Anything musical-the boy loves to dance!
The bath tub
Waffles and pancakes
Getting into trouble!

Happy birthday, Buddy! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in years to come!
