Spring Break

Spring break was all about Daxton this year!!! We headed up on Friday, to take Daxton to the Union Station Train Show in Ogden! He was so excited and had totally earned to trip!!! Wooohooo for potty training!!! He and his dad and grandpa spent well over 5 hours looking at trains that day! He even scored a really nice Lionel train, thanks to his dad who claims he only paid $105 for it! Ya right!!!! I wish I had more pictures of something other than trains, but since this was a train weekend, that's all we got! Thanks for the train obsession, Grandpa Scott!!!

I LOVE my little man!

A few Saturdays ago, the girls all had a birthday party, so Daxton and I headed out to take some pictures for his birthday. It was a little rainy and cloudy, so I decided to chance the rain because the cloud cover was so great!!! It was so fun to sit at 25 main with only my little man and enjoy lunch with him. It amazes me how much different kids are when they are getting one on one attention! After lunch, I just let him wander and got some great pictures! I sometimes try so hard to make them pose the way I want them to, that I miss the moments that really make me smile! The puddle, caused by the morning rain, was my favorite moments of the day. He really could not believe that I was going to allow him to jump in a puddle to his heart content! He was so happy and so was I!

Crazy hair day

Yesterday was crazy hair day at school! Since I quite enjoy doing fun things with my girls hair, this was right up my alley! Kenzie was all for the hair color and crazy braids, and Karlin was into the Cindy Lou Who hair, but Kamren was not having any crazy do, she was good with just some color! Whatever!!!

Rain

Me: Daxton, who ordered this rain today? Was it you?!!

Daxton: No.

Me: Then who ordered this rain today?

Daxton: Jesus!

How amazing it is how young they know EXACTLY who is in charge!!!

I feel like all my posts have been Daxton related, and there are more Daxton posts to come, February was just his month! I am so glad Kamren will let me practice on her sometimes! Not always, but when this girl gives me her little half smile, or sometimes no smile at all, it makes my heart melt! She is such a sweet and thoughtful child!

The Potty Fairy

Dear Potty Fairy,

We are sooooo happy you came to our house! Your visits sure made potty training at our house a lot easier! Especially since we had tried the Potty Watch, a fun tractor potty and several other things before you came! The look on Daxton's face the first time you left him a treat was priceless! He was so excited to find a treat in his special box!! And when you left him a BIG treat for going number 2, he was over the moon!!!!

Though he was really sad to see you go, he really liked the note you left him telling him that he was a big boy now and you were ready to move onto somebody else's house! It was a bit of a hard thing for him to see you go, he asked for 2 days if you were coming back! We told him you might visit sometime soon! I hope you are willing to make another special visit someday soon!

We are so excited that you helped Daxton get to go with his Papa and Daddy to the Train Show, this next weekend- I don't think he would have made it without you!!!

Daxton's Birthday....AND oh! What a day it was!!!

My little man had a big day, a few weeks ago, and I don't want to forget all the fun we had, even if it was 3 weeks ago!!! The day started off with a room full of balloons. We filled his whole room with balloons so that when he woke up, he would be so surprised, and he was!!

Next, he opened some presents! Some movies from Aunt Stacy, WOW! Does he love these and WOW!! I really do not!! He also got a semi truck/car hauler, and a remote control Hummer!

After presents, he was lucky enough to have a birthday party with Maddie and all of his little Joy School buddies at Pirate Island Pizza.
But his favorite, was the Thomas train he got at his birthday party from his little friend! We couldn't wipe the smile off his face after he saw this!!
How lucky are we to have babies born 20 minutes apart!! I love that he and Maddie have the same birthday!!
His sisters were even lucky enough to sluff school for the day so that they could come to Pirate Island with him!
His daddy sure loves this little guy!!
Later that night, we went to 25 main for dinner so that we could sing "Happy Birthday" to him one last time for the year!!
And of course, Thomas had to come with him!!
