He actually doesn't look as bad in this shot as he really did! I thought he was going to pass out when he came across the finish line!
We were bound to win several times with this many kids in the raffle!
How there could be such a fun and CHEAP family activity like this in St. George, and us not know about it, is beyond me!!! Tony says it is because I have just began my running kick and last year probably would have said, "A 5K?!!! Ya, right!" Maybe he is right! We packed up the kids and headed out to the Turkey Trot on Saturday morning. It is a race/walk that helps raise food for the local food bank, your entry for the race is 3 cans of food each. Tony and I, did the 5k, he pushing Kamren and Daxton and still came in pretty close behind me!!! Maybe there is a runner in him somewhere?!!! He did great, and there were a couple of big hills! I am really mad that he had the camera in the stroller pocket, because seeing him and Chad race to the finish line with their strollers was the funniest part of the whole morning. Kaylee and Karlin ran the little race/walk thing, I don't even know how far it was. I think it was a 1K or maybe a mile. And then true to form, Troy and Kenzie walked the whole darn thing! Shocker I know! They are definitely our couch potatoes!!! After the races, they had a raffle, and we walked away with 2 turkeys and a 30 minute massage certificate. Not bad for some entertainment and exercise all in one morning!

S.E.P??!!!!
I think this stands for So your children can get out early all week and you can go crazy trying to entertain them! I think that is it!!! Anyways, after we had our little 10 minute conferences with the teacher for the week, we decided to pack up all the kids and head on an after school excursion! Thank goodness this was the day that both Daxton and Kamren decided to take early naps, so that even made it possible!!! It was a trip that was well worth it! The leaves up near Zion's are beautiful right now, and all of our kids had a great time exploring the little ghost town of Grafton. I think they really were just glad that there were no real rules in the whole adventure except don't break anything really old because I am not sure how we would pay for it!:)

Kamren brought home a paper this week, telling all the things that she has passed off at preschool. My first thought when I looked it over was, "Ya right!!! There is no way she knows all that stuff!" But she does! I was so impressed! Go Wee-Wonders, you have taught my daughter a lot!

I can write my last name
I know my shapes
I know my colors
I recognize my numbers 1-10
I recognize my numvers 10-20
I can count to 10,20,30,40, and 50
I can say the pledge of allegiance
I can sing the days of the week song
I can sing the weather song
I hold my pencil correctly
I color in the lines
I know left and right
I can read the days of the week
I can read the color words
I can read the number words 0-10
Pretty impressive for a 4 year old!

Butch Cassidy 10K
I am so happy this morning, that I did this 10K on Saturday! It has taken me 2 days to be able to say that because my calves have been so sore. But TODAY I actually feel good about the race, my time in the race, and the fact that I actually ran 6.2 miles on Saturday! The farthest I had ever ran before Saturday, was 5 miles, so I was a little concerned going in that I would want to pass out that last mile+! I survived, and it wasn't even that last mile that killed me! It was the mile between the 4th and 5th mile, when I thought I really wasn't going to make it! I kept running though, and eventually the "I can't do this" voice and the one saying "WHY are you doing this" faded away! As soon as I could see the finish line, I knew WHY I was doing this!!! It is the best feeling to accomplish a goal that you have set, and THAT is why I run! My time was 51:30.7 a (8:17 Min/Mi). I am pretty proud of myself for my first 10K, maybe next time I can get under 8 Minute miles, we will see! Thanks to my running buddies for running with me! And for making me run on those nights when I would have rather gone to bed or sat on the couch watching TV. And to my Mom!!! I am so proud of her for running with us! She only wanted to do the 5K, but the 5K ended up being a walk, so she had no choice but to do the 10K! I am very proud of her for even taking that on in her first race ever!

B-U-S-Y
THAT is how you spell Halloween at our house!!! From Tuesday on, we had something every single day that I needed to make something for, or dress up my kids for! I am officially exhausted and so glad that Halloween is now 360+ days away!!! My children are all in convulsions on the floor from all of the sugar they have in there systems, and I don't think they have actually had a meal in 2 1/2 days now. But soon all of the candy will be gone and they go to the dentist tomorrow anyways so he can clean their teeth really good!!!! I need the candy to be gone too, so that I will stop eating it so much!!! We had a great Halloween! Thank you Rachel, for making me dress up!!! My girls loved it, they all want to be Miss America next year!!!! Tony was mistaken SEVERAL times that day for a real teenager, an awfully wrinkly one in my opinion, but still, that is pretty good for somebody on the downhill side of his 30's!! Thanks Mom, for spending the weekend with us and helping at all the crazy Halloween parties with me! I would have been even crazier without you there!

What do you do when you are waiting to go on a mission?!!!!
Apparently, you crochet!!!! These are 2 of Tony's young men sitting on our couch on Sunday, crocheting!!!! Yes, I did say crocheting!!! I am not sure where the fascination started but they are apparently hooked! It is really funny to hear them counting to themselves!!!! I laugh every time I look at this picture!
